Opportunity classes are designed for ninth and tenth grade students who
are experiencing academic or attendance problems. Students attend a
self-contained class for five hours per day in ninth and tenth grades
and are expected to complete homework contracts each week. The goal is
for students to improve basic academic skills, attendance, and social
attitudes, and earn credits on a consistent basis to return to their
comprehensive high school and graduate.
